Preparing for the Future

30 Day Video Challenge Written Telling of Day 21

July 9, 2019

The time for touring college campuses has begun. Granted, I’m only going to tour two, since that is what is available and easy to reach in a day, but it’s a period of time in the summer nonetheless. It solidifies the idea that, yes, college is in my future and it is coming up very quickly. As an incoming senior, I need to start preparing to apply to colleges and plan the career path I want to take for the rest of my life, or, at least, the first part of my adult life.

I spent my afternoon touring a university. It was a beautiful campus, while being gigantic as well. It was a long walk from one side of the campus to the other, and my whole family was tired of walking. But if the college students that attend the school could do it, we could do it too.

After the tour, I concluded that this school was definitely on my list of schools I’ll be applying to. It was both a breathtaking campus and it has the major programs that I’m looking for. My younger siblings were terribly bored during the tour, but we rewarded them with ice cream as we explored the city.

The day, overall was not as back-to-back eventful as others, but it was a real eye opener to what I should be doing to prepare for my future. Hopefully, I’ll figure it out soon.
